 What happens next
Greenery and Open Spaces Applications falling within the terms of the Scheme
If your application potentially fulfils at least one of our primary charitable objectives we will write and tell you. You will be given a grant reference number and we will make an appointment for our Grants Adviser to visit your organisation to establish further relevant information about the application.

The application will then be considered by the board of Trustees at one of their Grants Meetings, these are usually held in April, July and November. The deadline for inclusion at any meeting is 4 weeks prior to the meeting date so please ensure you apply early as grants will not be awarded for projects that have already taken place.

Following the grants meeting, applicants will be notified in writing of the Trustees’ decision. This may be to make a grant, to refuse a grant, or to defer a grant pending receipt of further information. Conditions may be attached to the grant, and payment may be deferred until these conditions have been satisfied.

All successful applicants will be asked to submit a written report on the use of the grant for consideration at the next appropriate Trustees meeting. Follow up visits may be made to some applicants. Submitting a report within the required time frame is crucial to the success of any future applications.
