Grant Making

We make grants for one of two purposes;

1. For recreational activities

2. For the preservation of public open space

We have a defined area we can work in – this is the pre-1974 boundary of the City of Leeds (click here to view map on Grant Criteria page) and can only support projects that are working within that area.

For 2016 we have a Main Grants Programme and a Small Grants Programme.

Small Grants of up to £300

The Small Grants Programme is administered by Voluntary Action Leeds and only awards grants to registered charities and constituted community groups with income of less than £10,000 per year. Grants are for a maximum of £300.

Main Grants Programme (£300 or above)

The Main Grants Programme covers all other applications and awards grants for the provision of facilities for recreation or for the preservation of public open space. We are interested in applications that support Children & Young People, the Elderly, the wider Community, the Arts and Open Space. We will consider applications supporting all or any section of the community.

All successful applicants will need to show that they offer value for money, are responding to real need and fulfil one of our charitable objectives.
